Community Engagement Manager – Renewable Energy, Solar

The Community Engagement Manager will administer the company’s in-person and online event marketing, social media, and coordinate advertising strategy both in-house and with third party outside agencies. Administration includes but is not limited to:

  • Deliberate planning, strategy and goal setting
  • Development of brand awareness and online reputation
  • Content management (including website)
  • Cultivation of Land Acquisition Leads and Customer Care
  • Online Reputation management

The Community Engagement Manager is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. That passion comes through as she/he engages with customers daily. Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) are integral to a Community Engagement Manager’s success. An essential component is communicating the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way that will attract today’s modern, hyper-connected buyers. The Community Engagement Manager is instrumental in managing the company’s digital and analog content-related assets.

Community Engagement Manager duties include:

  • Create and map out a comprehensive marketing plan. Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics
  • Administer the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content and Press Releases for all outlet channels
  • Cultivate and manage opportunities for in-person events and community outreach
  • Create a regular publishing schedule and promote content
  • Leverage the right tools for managing content
  • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely campaigns
  • Integrate all channels of marketing
  • Coordinate, manage, and oversee all advertising campaigns
  • Identify and improve organizational development aspects that would improve content (ie: employee training, recognition and rewards for participation in the company’s marketing and online review building)
  • Develop organizational elements in order to implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal customer online reviews
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Implement ongoing education to remain highly effective
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company. Report notable threats to appropriate management
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns
  • Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of social media campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns to maximize results.

Community Engagement Manager Qualifications and Experience

  • Possesses knowledge and experience in the tenets of traditional marketing. Marketing degree is welcomed but not required with relevant work experience
  • Demonstrates creativity and documented immersion in social media. (Provide examples).
  • Proficient in marketing theory and application
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of both in-person as well as social media platforms, their respective participants and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Excellent writing and language skills
  • Working knowledge of the blogging ecosystem relevant to environmental sustainability, solar, and renewable energy
  • Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format
  • Excels at building and maintaining sales relationships, online and off
  • Demonstrates superior time management
  • A team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary.
  • Outstanding technical ability and can pick up new tools quickly
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics. Highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”
  • Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress CMS (self-hosted), Salesforce, and other content creation and customer management tools.
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution.
  • Possesses great ability to identify potential negative or crisis situation and apply conflict resolution principles to mitigate issues.

Sales Executive – Renewable Energy, Solar

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executives to add to our Sales Team. The Sales Executive’s efforts will be focused on Land Acquisition for solar farms in the Northeast Region of the United States. Three to five years’ experience and a background in Solar, Real Estate, Retail Energy, or Telecommunications Sales is preferred, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, and advanced degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

U.S. Light Energy is a growing and dynamic company in the solar renewable energy industry, focused on Community Solar in the Northeastern United States. We have more than 150MW MW of New York Community Solar projects in development and are currently building out these projects and actively adding additional generation capacity.

Working with our team of industry experts, the Sales Executive will be responsible for all sales and customer services efforts, including land leasing and land acquisition, commercial solar sales, and supporting our marketing campaigns across all media platforms by working with our Director of Sales and Marketing to expand our sales efforts. Extensive experience with Salesforce and web-to-lead based sales campaigns is required. Successful implementation by the Sales Executive is required to achieve our financial targets. Core concepts include: Outstanding internal and external communication skills, hitting daily, weekly, monthly and annual sales targets, building strong customer relationships, and understanding customer and industry trends.

The Sales Executive may choose to work out of our office in Latham, NY, but home location can be negotiable for the right candidate. They will be expected to travel to meetings, events, and industry conferences as necessary (approximately 50%-75%, mostly local).

Sales Executive Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with landowners and other potential customers and partners in person, over the phone, and via digital media
  • Maintaining exceedingly high customer service and communication standards
  • Working with our internal teams to identify and improve key growth strategies analytics, metrics, tactics, and action plans
  • Own and hit/exceed all sales targets within assigned territories and channels
  • Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base

  • Partner with customers to understand their needs and objectives

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a sales executive, sales manager, sales assistant, or transferable skill set
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
  • Proven ability to position products against competitors
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent required, advanced degree preferred

Inside Sales Assistant – Renewable Energy, Solar

U.S. Light Energy in Latham, NY is currently seeking an Inside Sales Assistant to assist our Sales team with Community Solar Land Acquisition. One to three years’ experience and a background in Solar, Real Estate, Energy Sales, or Telecommunications Sales is preferred. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience is preferred.

Working with our team of industry experts, the Inside Sales Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting Sales Executives with all sales related services. These services include commercial solar sales, land leases and acquisitions, and business development campaigns across all media platforms.  The Inside Sales Assistant will coordinate with the Sales Executives and Executive Sales Assistant regarding scheduling appointments, customer communications, documenting activities in Salesforce, meeting prep, legal document markup and exchange, etc. Extensive experience with Salesforce or other CRM software, and Microsoft Office suite programs is strongly desirable.

We are currently seeking an Executive Sales Assistant (ESA) to aid our Sales team with Land Acquisition and Community Solar Subscriptions.

Working with our team of industry experts, the ESA will be responsible for assisting with all sales, marketing and customer services programs. These services include land leasing and acquisition, residential and commercial community solar subscription, and marketing campaigns across all media platforms. The ESA will assist in coordinating with our advertising agency and media buyers to expand our sales efforts as well as help manage our marketing campaigns. Minimum Requirements:
