A Solar Farm (also know as a Community Solar) project is a large group of solar panels installed in a sunny location. Anyone in the area of the array can subscribe to the clean energy produced by the panels and get credits on their regular utility bill. No added wires and no worrying about installing panels on your rooftop or anywhere else on your property. All crediting is done virtually through your utility company.
Unlike typical energy sources, a solar farm offers local, clean energy that offsets your electric bill with predictable rates and terms. Gain insight to your future cost of power and rest easy knowing it is coming from a clean and local source.
Solar power is now an option for anyone with an electric bill!
Projects are now available across New York State, making the benefits
of clean energy accessible to more New Yorkers than ever before. You
don’t need to be a property owner or even have a rooftop to join. You
just need to have an account with an electric utility and a desire to
save.
Homeowners, Renters, Condo Dwellers, Small Businesses, Large Businesses,
Institutions and Municipalities can all benefit from Solar Farm
projects.
Benefits of a Solar Farm:
- No solar panels on your roof or anywhere else on your property
- Save money on your electric bill
- Clean, renewable energy for your area
- “Pay-as-you-go” options available
- Choose where your power comes from
What Will My Bill Look Like?
When you subscribe to a solar farm you receive two bills each month:

credits. This bill typically has a very low if not negative/credited
balance
You will receive another bill from your solar provider for the
negotiated rate per kWh for the power allocated to you from the solar
array
In a common Subscription Plan you have:
No up-front cash layout
Easy sign-up process
Flexible subscription terms
