This acquisition is part of a broader growth milestone for 38 Degrees North, which has raised over $230 million in corporate capital from new equity investors S2G Investments, Climate Adaptive Infrastructure (CAI) and Kimmeridge Energy Management.

Together, our teams will continue delivering clean, local energy solutions across the country, with a strong commitment to the landowners, communities, and development partners who power our mission.

What This Means
  • Active Projects and Leases: All active U.S. Light Energy projects will continue forward, now under the 38 Degrees North platform.
  • New Primary Contact Information: Updated contact details for point of contact will be shared directly.

Why This Matters

With U.S. electricity demand projected to grow 25% by 2030 and as much as 78% by 2050, the need for scalable, distributed energy is urgent. 38 Degrees North’s acquisition of U.S. Light Energy adds over 250 megawatts of solar projects to its pipeline and strengthens its presence in key markets across the U.S.

“We are thrilled to welcome CAI and Kimmeridge as strategic capital partners. Our acquisition of U.S. Light will deepen our footprint in both familiar and new markets where we can bring clean energy and jobs.”
